Oxalsäure (systematischer Name: Ethandisäure, historisch: Kleesäure und Acidum oxalicum) ist die einfachste Dicarbonsäure. Ihre Salze heißen Oxalate (systematisch: Ethandioate). Oxalsäure ist ein Reduktionsmittel und kann daher quantitativ durch Titration mit einem Oxidationsmittel wie Kaliumpermanganat bestimmt werden, dabei entsteht Kohlenstoffdioxid als Oxidationsprodukt.
